'Paramdham' is the Ahmedabad center of Chinmaya Mission, a spiritual and cultural organisation. A need for renewal of the campus was felt due to the dilapidated nature of existing buildings and expansion of Mission's activities, while retaining the spirit of the place and its associations. Design at all levels was about understanding the values, physical or spiritual, and reinterpreting them in contemporary contexts with sustainability concerns. Thus, the Spirit of Renewal is the guiding beacon in the quest of the project's Renewal of the Spirit.
